Get to Know Hope Grimes!
We are a vibrant campus of Lutheran Church of Hope, conveniently located in Grimes, near Johnston, Dallas Center and Granger. Our campus serves as a gathering place to connect with our community, to worship and grow together, and to be sent out from our campus to share Christ’s light with all who we encounter.
We Gather – worship, grow and have our cup filled to overflowing – in order to Scatter – allow our overflowing cups to bless others and help them discover the love of Jesus Christ that is for each and every person.
Our church is, first and foremost, people, not a building. So, as people of God, we get to be the hands and feet of Christ to the world around us by loving well (Great Commandment) and telling others about Christ (Great Commission). We are not a perfect church. If you’re looking for perfect, Hope Grimes is not for you. We are, however, a faithful church. If that sounds like a community you want to be part of, you’ve come to the right place.
How Long Have We Been a Campus?
Hope Grimes started as a campus in 2011 to meet the growing need for community and worship in the Johnston and Grimes cities. We began as a mobile campus, worshiping together at Summit Middle School in Johnston. In September of 2018, we opened our permanent building on Beaverbrooke Blvd. in Grimes. When our church was first built, there was almost nothing around us. However, there has been an explosion of growth in Grimes, which shows us that we are exactly where God needs us to be.

Hope Grimes is located at 1335 NE Beaverbrooke Blvd., Grimes, IA 50111. We are located on the north side of NE Beaverbrooke, just west of Hwy. 141 and east of Heritage Park. You can enter our campus from our south entrance (NE Beaverbrooke Blvd.) or our west entrance (NE Heritage Dr.). Let us know you’re visiting for the first time, and we’ll even give you a special gift to say thanks for being our guest!
